Marshall Hill Pty Ltd is a food manufacturing business supplying meringue and pavlova products to retailers under the food brand name: Sweet Thing Meringues.

Marshall Hill Pty Ltd has trading agreements with Shoprite Group and Food Lovers Market SA, as well as direct trade to over 80 Spar stores, and other independent retailers throughout the Eastern Cape and Western Cape Regions.

In total we are in over 200 retail outlets selling our products 365 days a year. Through experience and time, we have built a robust network of distribution which is able to roll us out to the entire country as soon as we have the factory production capacity.

Currently the business distributes in the coastal territory from East London to Langebaan, and as far north as Springbok.

We took a year to perfect our recipe to offer exceptional taste and quality using only real egg white and pure sugar, no additives or preservatives. We aim to fill the title of premium meringue manufacturer in South Africa. Currently we are the only mass produced meringue manufacturer using real eggs, pure cane sugar, and no preservatives.

We are a team of 10 employees and growing. We are a women led and completely women only business. All aspects, from sales and marketing, to recipe and product development to HR and manufacture are handled by women. We have trained mostly unemployed women to make their suitable to fulfil the roles we created in the business as the company grew.

Most of our kitchen staff have obtained the relevant Food Safety Systems training, first aid and fire safety training through our business. Currently Kelly Damons is doing a series on career and personal development with our team. We look forward to the day when most of the early employees are owners in the business, the ultimate vision that keeps us going in the hard times.
