I’m Siya Mahabeni-Tshidino, founder of Siya Meals (Pty) Ltd. Siya Meals is a proudly South African catering and events company based in Nelson Mandela Bay. I started Siya Meals in 2020 from my own kitchen, driven by a deep love for food and a dream to bring people together through great meals. What began with cooking for neighbours and small family gatherings has grown into a company that now caters for weddings, funerals, corporate functions, and municipal events across Nelson Mandela Bay and the Eastern Cape.

At Siya Meals, we believe food should tell a story — one of warmth, culture, and community. Our dishes are inspired by authentic South African flavours, from hearty pap and chakalaka to modern gourmet platters. We focus on quality, affordability, and presentation, because we want every guest to feel valued and every event to be unforgettable.

Today, we work with a dedicated team of ten active staff members, plus talented student chefs and servers from the International Hotel School who join us for large-scale events of 500 guests and more. Together, we deliver not just food, but a full experience of hospitality and professionalism.

My vision is to grow Siya Meals into a fully compliant commercial kitchen that can serve institutions and major clients while continuing to empower young people through skills and job opportunities.
